my original plan for today: disneyland til 3pm and victoria gardens to shop til’ we drop.

change of plans. but i still got some shopping done. hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Its an open house, art sale and workshop. We will have games, free coffee and treats, a small project for you to do or you can sign up for the workshop to make a memory collage.

shopping is a sport for the tireless. shopping requires a sense of discovery. like finding buried treasure.
when i go shopping its more like hunting. i know what i’m looking for and where i should be able to find it. yet sometimes “should be” and is turn out to be very different places.
how about you, are you a shopper or a hunter?
i have jury duty. the first time i was called i was out of town with no transportation. then when i was 22 i ended up in the same lot as a professor of mine.
now after 8 years i have jury duty. not only do i have jury duty i have to report on christmas eve.

this would have been the first year, since i started as sandals, that i wasn’t going to miss a family gathering. but no i have to go downtown early in the morning to seat in a room and wait for my # to be called.

jamie and i made of day of painting and getting organized. its amazing what you can do with zip ties, a peg board and cool metal file folders. we both need visuals to keep things straight and in order.
what organization style are you?
i’ve been have trouble sleeping through the night again. my body aches from head to toe. my eyes hurt because i’m so tired but i’m still tossing and turning all night.
what do you do when you can’t sleep?

i struggle with wanted to do everything right. not to just be good or ok but perfect. and i know that isn’t possible.
i also struggle with others thinking i’m perfect. i don’t want to disappoint. but at the same time i feel like i have to prove that i am just as messed up as the next person.
how do i reconcile these two extremes? i don’t know but i’m hoping and praying God will reveal it to me.
on a lighter note. gilmore girls season 7 came out yesterday!!!
call me crazy, but i can’t get enough of loralie & rory gilmore.
