while in georgia…

when it rains…

it pours!

we got caught in the middle of a huge storm on “the” 400 (yes i said “the 400″) on our way back from helen, ga.

but the atl was in desperate need of it.

we had bratwurst w/sauerkraut, fennel cake and walk around in the rain and humidity.

oktoberfest in helen, ga

we are venturing out to north georgia for oktoberfest in a little german town in the mountains (hills compared to cali).

rain, rain… lets stay in all day

its rainy in alpharetta. good for georgia and surprisingly good for us.

we planned to drive up to helen for oktoberfest. maybe tuesday or not.

now we have time to sit by the fire. drink coffee & listen to good music. play games. read a good book or catch up on blogs.

maybe tomorrow we will be able to go outside and play.

burning java logs

leigha’s girlfriends came over last night.

we had homemade chili. mom’s cornbread.

fun mixed drinks: the perfect storm.

and played wiisports and super mario bros in front of a roaring fire.

i found a burning log made from spent coffee grounds, how cool! (java log)

and for dessert… pumkin cheesecake and coffee.

it was the ultimate girls night.

happy birthday seanna

spent the day with the whittaker’s saturday to celebrate seanna’s 4th birthday.

that girl got more little princess dolls & accessories.

i am soooooooo jealous…NOT! i never did get that into plaing barbies.

my sister & i could spend hours setting barbie houses & malls (before matel made them).

by the time we finished we were finished & onto the next thing.

its that time again.

fall is here and i’m on vacation in one of the prettiest places the fall.

my sister has been in georgia since 2001.  and now that my friends the whittaker’s are here i have even more reason to visit.

we have a couple of birthdays to celebrate: my lil’ sister and my sweet&sassy seanna

i have plans to drive up north for oktoberfest,

smell the flowers at the botanical gardens,

get lost on peachtree (something?),

breakfast at the flying bisquit,

and visit carlos’ new home at northpoint buckhead.

i am now a member of the mac world.

yes i work everyday on a mac but i just got my own mac for home. now i get take my art to a whole new level. just watch me now.

carlos aren’t you proud of me. you’ll have to help get it all setup when i come next week.

i am at least when it comes to recognizing a guy flirting with me (especially on sundays).

i just don’t see it!

pastor neal, jamie and i were talking about it at lunch today. they said they’ve seen guys trying to flirt with me and i’m in business mode so i miss it.

there has to be a way to signal me when it is happening. like… ask “what time is it, tasha?”
neal pipes up with, “you just give me the time and wonder why i asked 4 times in a row.”
